Almeria Airport
Almeria airport is 9 kilometres to the east of
the region's capital city, 500 metres from the coast on the gulf
of Almeria and to the south of the Sierra Alhamilla. In the area
neighbouring the airport are the towns of El Alquian and Costacabana.

Road
The airport can be reached from Almeria via the AL-12
motorway, which is a dual carriageway. The airport turn off
is found at kilometre nine. From here, the single carriageway
road continues to Níjar. There are also access roads
from the Autovía del Mediterráneo A-7.

Line 20. Almeria - Alquián
Timetable:
Monday to Friday, from 6:35am to 10:35pm, buses depart from
Doctor Gregorio Marañón Street every 40 min.
Saturdays and Sundays: from 6:35am to 10:35pm, every 1h and
20 min.

One-way ticket, 0.85 €; 10-trip pass, 5.75 €; monthly
card, 25.70 €.

Where can I get information on programmed
flights?
At the Aena Public Information desk, located in the check-in
hall. The public information systems (TV monitors and screens)
show any possible incidents as soon as information is received
from airlines. Moreover, the day's programme can be consulted
via the Aena information helpline (phone 902 404 704).

Which entrance to the terminal building
is for general aviation passengers?
In general, passengers for air taxis or private aircraft get
to the terminal via the baggage reclaim area, where they will
pass through passport control if necessary, and from there
through to the arrivals hall.

Where can I exchange foreign currency?
At present there is no bureau de change in Almeria airport.

Where can I find a cash machine?
There are two cash machines at the airport. One is located
next to the restaurant and the other in the check-in lobby.

Where are the boarding gates situated?
They are situated on the lower floor.You can get to them through
the security point between the check-in hall and the cafeteria,
on the ground floor.

Where can I make a claim for lost luggage?
At the Iberia office located in the check-in lobby. This office
also sells tickets and provides information about the company.
Ryanair has its own office, also located in the check-in lobby.

The airport has entrances for the disabled, both at arrivals
and departures. Besides it has access facilities to the aircraft.

How can I get to other destinations from
the airport?
By travelling to Almeria's Intermodal Station, 8 kilometres
from the airport. You can get there by city bus, taxi or private
transport. Once at the station, you can link up by bus or
train with the available destinations. You could also travel
to Melilla on the different ferries (Ferry Maroc and Transmediterránea)
from the Port of Almeria.

ticket prices?
Tickets are sold in the airport terminal by the following
airlines: Easyjet, Iberia and Ryanair. Tour operators such
as Tarleton, Neckermann and Viajes Mundial Schemann, as well
as AGA and Servisair representatives, also sell tickets for
various airlines.
